Lesson 1 of 7 · 4 min

What a credit is

Explain what one credit is worth and how many your plan gives you.

One credit, one dollar

A credit is the simplest unit of money Pinnora has: one credit is one dollar of usage, full stop. Generate an ad, render a video, run research, or chat with Atlas, and the work carries a dollar cost that gets debited straight from your balance. No tokens, no seconds, no second currency to convert in your head. The balance is the one honest number.

Credits sit in a shared pool at the organisation level, not per person. Think of it like a shared office card: everyone's purchases hit the same statement. Your teammate's big video batch and your three static ads both draw down the same balance, which is exactly why the spend caps later in this chapter matter.

Where credits come from

Two sources, and they behave differently.

Your plan grants credits every billing period. The paid tiers grant credits equal to their monthly price: Starter 9, Growth 49, Pro 99, Business 199, and Agency 499. The Free tier is the exception. It hands you a fixed pool of 10 welcome credits once, not a monthly one-to-one refill, so a free org starts with 10 and does not top itself back up to parity.

Top-ups are the second source. You can buy extra credits on top of your plan at any time, and they add to your existing balance. A later lesson walks through that.

Reading your balance

Your live balance sits in the metric strip at the top of the organisation home and moves in real time as work finishes, so you can watch it tick down during a batch.
