Credits & Billing
Two tabs, two questions
The organisation home splits billing across a Usage tab and a Billing tab, and the trick is knowing which one answers your question.
The Usage tab answers where did my credits go. It charts spend over time, shows a storage meter, and is the first place to look when the balance dropped faster than you expected. Each project also charts its own usage inside its manage view, so you can pin down which project is driving the spend.
The Billing tab answers what am I paying and on what plan. Plans, top-ups, invoices, and the payment portal all live there, and the next few lessons cover them.
The credit ledger
Under Usage you will find the credit ledger: one row for every single movement of credits. Think of it as a bank statement for your balance. Each row is typed, so a generation debit reads differently from a plan grant, a top-up, or a refund. This is your audit trail. If a charge ever looks off, the ledger is where you confirm what it paid for and when.
Because every charge is tied to the work that caused it, a debit row traces straight back to a real render or run. That turns a scary spike into a plain fact: it was a big video batch, not a mystery.
Using it in practice
Build one habit: glance at the Usage tab after any heavy session. You are checking two things. The trend line tells you whether spend is steady or climbing. The top ledger rows tell you what the recent large debits actually were. If a number surprises you, that is your cue to lower a batch count or pin a cheaper model before the next run, not a sign of a billing error.
