Ask Atlas to run an A/B test
A/B testing exists in the product, but there is no button for it anywhere in the Ads Manager. The only way to start one is to ask Atlas, the workspace chat, in plain language. There is no testing matrix screen and no dedicated test dashboard, so set that expectation before you go looking for one.
To start a test, tell Atlas which creatives to compare, the metric and the relative improvement that should decide a winner, the minimum sample size, and whether to auto-promote the winner once the test concludes. Atlas sets the test up across the platforms you name. From there a background process checks in every few hours and can promote the winner on its own once the result is clear.
Now the limits, stated plainly so nothing surprises you later:
- It is chat-initiated only. There is no Ads Manager screen for it, by design today.
- It needs a connected ad account and live platform reporting to measure anything. Without real delivery data there is nothing to compare, so a test on an account with no spend will never conclude.
- It is unproven in production. No A/B test has run yet, so treat it as an advanced, Meta-first feature rather than a settled one.
The short version: once live Meta ads are delivering, you can ask Atlas to split-test them from chat. Until then, there is nothing for a test to read. If a test never seems to resolve, the usual cause is missing live data, which the troubleshooting chapter covers.
