Push as paid ad
You never upload a file into the Ads Manager. You push a creative you already made, the way you would promote a post you already wrote rather than drafting a fresh one inside the ad tool. That keeps the grounding, brand, and provenance attached to the ad instead of turning it into a loose image.
On any creative tile, open the tile menu and choose Push as paid ad. That opens the AdComposer. There you pick the connected account, the campaign, and the ad set, confirm the copy, and publish. Behind the dialog a server action records the deployment and hands the real call to the platform.
Pushing is role-gated. Viewers cannot push. You need editor-level access plus publish permission, so if the option is missing or greyed out, check your role with an admin.
Now the honest part, because this is the single most oversold step in the product. On Meta, the push is live code and creates a real ad. On Google or TikTok without their secrets configured, the same push records as simulated and nothing goes out. And in production, zero ads have launched so far on any platform. So do not expect a push to drop your creative into a thriving account. After you push, check the deployment status and confirm it reads live before you treat the ad as real.
The creative has to exist before you can push it. The Social Media Ad Generator is the usual place to make a paid-ad creative, so generate and review it there, then come back here to push.
