Reference Packs
Autosave, not a Set button
There is no Save button here, and that is on purpose. The pack saves itself, the way a shared doc does, a moment after each change you make. Every edit to the selection tray is written automatically, and the dialog shows a live status that reads Saved or Saving so you always know where you stand. When you are finished, a Done button closes the window.
Two quiet rules keep that autosave from biting you. It waits for your existing pack to finish loading before it writes anything, so opening the dialog can never overwrite slots you have not even seen yet. And it only saves when the selection actually changed, so opening and closing without touching a thing writes nothing.
Changing roles and clearing slots
Every item in the tray wears a small role chip. If a pick landed in the wrong role, tap the chip and move it, for example from an extra reference to the background.
To remove a single reference, clear it from the reference tile that uses it. The clear action lives on the tile, not as a trash icon in the tray. One guardrail worth remembering: an empty tray will not save. The server refuses a blank pack on purpose, so wiping everything out leaves your last good pack standing rather than erasing it. That is a safety net, not a glitch.
If a save ever looks stuck, trust the status line. Give it a second and confirm it reads Saved before you close the window.
