Lesson 3 of 7 · 5 min

Filter by tab and facet

You can narrow the grid using the tabs, the facet panel, and the phase chip, and you know the search box filters filter options rather than your creatives.

Three controls that stack

With 200 ad images in a tab, scrolling is not a plan. You narrow the grid with three controls, and they stack on top of each other.

  • Tabs switch between the five output groups: Ad Images, Brand Images, Video, Docs & Pages, Audio.
  • The facet panel filters inside a tab along axes like type and style. Tick the values you care about and the grid shrinks to the tiles that match.
  • The phase chip brings back the pipeline tiles. Research, strategy, concept, and offer tiles are hidden from the default view so the grid stays about finished creatives. A dedicated phase filter chip shows them when you actually want them.

There are no folders to build or maintain. Organizing here means filtering, not grooming a tree.

The search box is not what it looks like

Here is the part that catches almost everyone. The filter popover has a search box, and it does not do what you expect. It searches the facet options inside that popover. It does not search your creatives. Think of it as a magnifying glass held over the filter menu, not over your work.

So there is no way to type "blue background" and jump to that one ad today. If you have 200 ad images and want the one with the blue background, you get there by tab plus facets, not by a keyword.

A genuine search-by-name field does exist, just not here. It lives in the asset browser inside the Reference Pack dialog, where you choose references and uploads, and the Reference Pack chapter covers it. In the Library grid itself, filtering is the tool you have, and it is enough once you expect it to work this way.
