Connecting a vendor
A connected account is live, and you know what it unlocked.
A connection is an authorisation, so it is worth understanding what you granted and who granted it before you depend on it.
Steps
- Open integrations and pick the vendor.
- Sign in with an account that has the access you need on that side.
- Review the permissions being requested before you accept.
- Confirm the connection is active, and note which features it enabled.
Who should own a connection
An account that will keep existing. Connections made under an individual's personal login break when that person leaves, and they break silently.
What to watch for
Some connections are read-only and some can write. Know which you granted, especially for anything that publishes.
