Lesson 3 of 4 · 6 min
Blog posts that rank
You publish something a search engine can place and a person can finish.
Posts written only for search read as written for search, and that is now something both readers and search engines detect.
Steps
- Pick one question the post answers, and answer it near the top.
- Structure with real headings that match how people ask.
- Include the specifics only you have: numbers, examples, things you learned.
- Read it end to end and cut every paragraph that says nothing.
What makes a post placeable
A clear question, an early answer, and enough depth that the reader does not go back and click the next result. The last one is the part that generic writing cannot fake.
What to watch for
Length is not the goal. A complete answer in eight hundred words beats a padded one in two thousand, and padding is the easiest thing to detect.
