The three panes
You can move between chat, canvas and library without losing your place.
The workspace has three areas and they are not three views of the same thing. Each one does a job the others cannot.
Steps
- Ask for something in chat and watch where it appears.
- Open the result on the canvas and change one thing about it.
- Find the same asset in the library and check its run.
- Go back to chat and ask for a variation.
What each one is for
Chat is where you describe things and where the assistant can act for you. It is the fastest way to start something and the only way to ask for something you cannot find a control for.
The canvas is where work in progress lives. Things appear here as they finish, including things that are still running, so it is where you watch a batch land.
The library is everything you have ever made, filterable and downloadable. Use it when you know what you want and just need to get to it.
What to watch for
Work does not need to be moved between the panes. An asset made in chat is already in the library. If you find yourself downloading something to re-upload it somewhere else in the product, there is almost always a direct route.
